City of Austin to ban bluebonnets! Here's why…

April Fools!

That’s a blooming lie. Happy April Fools Day!  Right now, the state flower of Texas and a host of other wildflowers are popping up all around us. On a day trip from Austin, you’ll find spectacular bluebonnet crops in any direction, but we’ve got plenty right here in the Austin area.

Here are just a few spots to get your bonnet shots. But be careful! Make sure you’re completely off the road if you’re pulling over to take pictures.

Bluebonnets are just one example of the topics that pop up in Cityism, the Austin board game. Get the game at Waterloo Records or www.cityism.com.

I immediately assumed the city was banning corny photos of people sitting in bluebonnets on dangerous highways. Funny how your mind fills in the blanks.
